Topic: Problems caused by the internet When the internet was just created, people didn’t know really about what the internet was; because it was the new technology at that time. They didn’tknow the internet would dominate the whole world; and they didn’t even know the internet would become the most important thing to the new generation, to our life. As an employer, you wouldn’t hire a person who didn’t know what the internet was; because it was the basic knowledge that people should know. As a student, the internet could provide a lot of information that you want to find for your assignment or research paper. As we see, no doubt, the internet gives us many advantages. However, the internet still has its negative aspects. For example, in ethical aspect, some people maybe thought that “the internet is just an internet”, they didn’t need to take any responsible to what they said and what they did in the internet. In fact, there were many cases showing that the people who committed suicide were mostly caused by cyber bullying.
For my research paper, I would like to discuss how technology has affected communication and the nature of human relationships. Technology has brought information to our fingertips with applications, programs and social networks. Also, technology has reduced our distance between different countries as news and information is more available and precise through media and communication devices (tablets, smart phones). However, smart phones, tablets, computers and video game consoles are replacing real human contact. As human beings, social development and forming relationships is important for success. But technology is now blocking that from happening.
